Among Organic Sounds' many vintage Big Muff Rams heads, this pedal was analyzed and compared based on the balance of the Reactor Tower Knob Violet. It captures the distinctive, mellow overtones, harshness, and range of vintage pedals, recreating a more user-friendly pedal.
Made extensive use of vintage parts, it expresses an even more mellow vintage tone than THE TOWER.
The four transistors are carefully selected for their respective functions, creating a sound that cuts through while retaining the vintage nuances.
It also responds well to guitar volume adjustments, allowing you to create a crisp, clear crunch sound by turning it down.
Controls include Volume, Tone, and Gain (L to R).
The low gain setting produces a crunch sound with a raw, OD fuzz-like tone. Increasing the gain adds distinctive overtones, resulting in a dirty, high-gain fuzz distortion at maximum settings. From low gain to high gain, it delivers a powerful vintage sound.
This high-gain fuzz distortion pedal complements a wide range of genres, whether using single-coil or humbucker pickups, without overpowering the instrument's unique character.
